What's On Tap:Savoring the last of few pints of my golden pilsner as well as sipping pink ginger mead done up with champagne yeast The pilsner is the sister brew to Flat Out! Pale Ale that my buddy Jason Omer commissioned for his first run at the Motorcycle Speed Trials taking place at the Bonneville Salt Flats Septemmber 2-6. He wanted a pale ale that wouldn't be too hoppy, crisp clean and drinkable on a hot day. I split the 10 Gallon batch lagering half and came up with two similar yet completely different golden brews. Both are fabulous, easy to drink and refreshing. It was a fun experiment that I plan on doing again with other beer styles. |

I built this custom mash paddle to help when stirring the mash, and it is a great improvement over any other mash paddle I've ever used! This mash paddle is made from cherry and the grain of the wood looks real nice. I designed it to have optimum stirring power and to fit comfortably in my hands.
